How to use this page

Device Driver Guide does not host installers. Read the family page for the hardware you own, work out which package applies to your exact model and Windows edition, then use the official-source citation provided for that decision. A component-branded family may still require the company that built your computer or motherboard rather than Samsung; follow the declared package source on the family page.

Where Samsung appears in the directory

Reference coverage is recorded separately for each family in the comparison below, not as one compatibility list for this manufacturer. These labels describe the scope of the reference, not certified compatibility or continuing Windows support. Confirm the exact device or PC model, hardware revision, Windows release, and package requirements with the manufacturer before making a change.

Listed families in detail

Biometrics

Samsung Galaxy Book Fingerprint Reader (OEM package)

Samsung fits fingerprint readers into Galaxy Book laptops, frequently in the power button, to bring phone-style sign-in to Windows. Samsung distributes the driver through its own support software and relies on Windows Update for supporting components, making the update path more automatic than manual.

Reference coverage: 10/11 only where the exact PC or reader model lists support

Card Readers

Samsung microSD USB reader/adapter

Samsung's small microSD USB adapters are the type bundled with memory cards to move footage off a phone, drone, or action camera. They work through Windows' standard removable-drive support, so the inserted card simply shows up as a drive with nothing to install.

Reference coverage: 10, 11

Modems

Samsung Mobile Broadband Module (OEM package)

Samsung fits cellular modules into some Galaxy Book laptops so they can connect through supported mobile networks. Samsung distributes relevant software through its support tools and Windows Update.

Reference coverage: Varies by exact model, hardware revision, package, and release; verify the official support page

Storage & NVMe

Samsung NVMe Driver (970 / 980 / 990 series consumer SSDs)

This family name spans several Samsung consumer NVMe generations, but Samsung's NVMe Driver 3.3 does not support all of them: its official guide lists 970 PRO, 970 EVO, 970 EVO Plus, 960 PRO/EVO, and 950 PRO, and lists Windows through Windows 10. It does not list the 980 or 990 families or Windows 11.

Reference coverage: Driver 3.3: 7/8.1/10 on listed models; check Magician separately

Printers

Samsung ProXpress Laser Series

ProXpress is Samsung's higher-volume business laser line, built for faster output and multifunction office work. Like the rest of Samsung's printer range, these are now supported by HP, which hosts the drivers and any universal print driver used for fleet deployment.

Reference coverage: 10, 11

Printers

Samsung Xpress Laser Series

Xpress is Samsung's compact laser line for home and small-office use, in single-function and multifunction versions. Samsung's printer business is now part of HP, so drivers and support for these models come from HP rather than a separate Samsung source.

Reference coverage: 10, 11
