2. Essential Preference Storage
The active cookie notice stores driverhub_cookie_consent with the value accepted or rejected. Cookie Preferences stores driverhub_cookie_preferences as JSON containing essential and optional flags. The site may also read the older driverhub-cookie-consent key for compatibility. These local values remember interface choices; they are not used by Device Driver Guide as advertising identifiers.
3. Optional Features
The optional flag is reserved for possible non-essential browser features. No optional advertising or analytics library is currently enabled through it. Saving or rejecting a preference changes local flags only. Before a future advertising or optional analytics technology is enabled, its vendors, purposes, policy disclosures, and controls will be reviewed and updated.
4. Analytics
Replit Project Analytics may measure page views and may use visitor IP and browser information to approximate unique visits, along with traffic sources, approximate location, device categories, and selected custom events. Custom-event dimensions are limited to fixed labels and do not send names, email addresses, messages, search text, secrets, or other free-form visitor content.
Hosting analytics is separate from the local consent preference: Accept does not start it, and Reject does not promise to stop it. Device Driver Guide does not currently load Google Analytics, Microsoft Advertising UET, Bing conversion tracking, or other advertising-conversion tags.
5. Advertising
Device Driver Guide does not currently load advertising or personalization scripts and does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If advertising technology is proposed, its cookies or similar technologies, consent requirements, vendors, purposes, and controls will be reviewed and described before it is enabled.
6. How to Control the Preference
- Choose Accept or Reject in the cookie notice to store that local choice.
- Use Save essential only to turn off the optional flag, or Allow optional features to store both flags.
- Use Clear saved choice to remove the two current underscore-key values. It does not remove the legacy compatibility key.
- Clear all Device Driver Guide site data through browser settings to remove current and legacy local storage.
7. Retention
No configured expiry is attached to these local-storage values. The page reset removes the two current keys; clearing site data in your browser removes the legacy key as well. Browser behavior, private mode, storage policies, and device cleanup can also remove stored values. Analytics and infrastructure retention is controlled separately and is not defined by these local values.
8. Third-Party Services
Replit may process network, IP, browser, request, and platform-usage information for hosting, Project Analytics, and security under its own applicable terms. Device Driver Guide does not currently load a third-party advertising service. External publisher citations open separate destinations whose storage and privacy practices are outside this site’s control.
9. Browser Privacy Signals
The site has not implemented automatic Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track handling. No sale or cross-context advertising sharing is currently active. Browser storage controls, Cookie Preferences, and the contact channel remain available for the choices and requests described in this policy.
