Privacy Policy

Last updated: · Not a hardware or link testing date

This policy explains what information is received through Device Driver Guide, why it is processed, when service providers may handle it, and the choices available to visitors.

These legal-page explanations provide general information, not legal advice.

Device Driver Guide requires no account or purchase. Contact by email is optional, browser preferences stay on your device, and the site does not sell personal information or currently use cross-context behavioral advertising.

1. Information We Collect

You can browse Device Driver Guide without creating an account. We receive information you choose to submit, browser preferences stored on your device, and technical information processed by the hosting, API, and security infrastructure that delivers and protects the site.

2. Information You Provide Voluntarily

The contact form, newsletter signup, and their submission endpoints are retired. The endpoints reject requests and no longer accept or store new messages or subscriptions. Previously submitted contact records may include a name, email address, subject, optional category, and message in PostgreSQL through a Replit-hosted API. Existing contact records and previously submitted newsletter addresses have not been deleted. Historical bot-trap and submission-timing values were not stored as part of those records.

Current correspondence sent to info@devicedriverguide.com is processed by email service providers. Do not send passwords, payment information, government identification, software keys, or other sensitive information in a general email.

3. Technical Information

Hosting, analytics, and security infrastructure may process an IP address, browser, device or operating-system details, referrer, requested page, approximate location, date and time, and platform-usage information. Application logs are designed to record request method, path, response status, and security event codes rather than request bodies. Request-parsing errors are logged using fixed codes, not submitted text. Technical data can be personal information under some laws and is not categorically anonymous.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The site stores consent and preference values in local storage on your device. Replit Project Analytics may measure aggregate use separately from those local choices. Accepting does not start hosting analytics, and rejecting does not promise to stop it. The site does not currently load Google Analytics, Microsoft Advertising UET, Bing conversion tracking, or other advertising or personalization scripts.

5. How We Use Information

  • Operate, maintain, and secure the website and infrastructure holding historical submission records.
  • Respond to email correspondence and to contact, correction, broken-link, accessibility, and privacy requests, including requests previously submitted through the contact form.
  • Evaluate applicable access, correction, deletion, or consent-withdrawal requests after appropriate identity verification.
  • Prevent spam, abuse, malicious submissions, and attempts to disrupt the service.
  • Improve reliability and content using submitted feedback, platform measurements, and technical diagnostics.
  • Meet legal obligations when a valid legal process or safety requirement applies.

7. Sharing and Disclosure

Device Driver Guide does not sell personal information. Replit provides website, API, database, and platform services that may process information to operate and protect the site and retain prior contact-form records. If you contact the published email address, email service providers also process your message to deliver it. Information may be disclosed when required by law, to protect visitors or the service, or as part of a lawful organizational transaction. Prior contact submissions and current email correspondence are not provided to advertisers for behavioral targeting.

8. Advertising and Analytics

Device Driver Guide currently has no paid placements, affiliate links, or advertising tags. Replit Project Analytics may measure page visits and use visitor IP and browser information to approximate unique visits, along with sources, device categories, and selected interactions. Strict custom-event dimensions do not send names, email addresses, messages, search text, secrets, or other free-form content. In-browser search text is not included in custom events.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the website and the information it receives. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so do not send information that is not needed for your request. Potential website security concerns should be reported privately to info@devicedriverguide.com without including credentials or exploit payloads.

10. Data Retention

Contact records and newsletter addresses submitted before the endpoints were retired have no guaranteed automatic deletion date. They may remain for the original request, recordkeeping, abuse prevention, or legal obligations. The presence of an address does not establish that mailings continue. A verified deletion request may be limited when retention is permitted or required by applicable law.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or information about processing; object to some processing; or withdraw consent. Submit a request by emailing info@devicedriverguide.com. We may verify your identity and may retain information when legally permitted or required. Requests are not handled by an automated deletion tool. Any response periods or other obligations required by applicable law remain in effect.

12. California Privacy Rights

Where California privacy law applies, residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and receive equal service. Device Driver Guide does not sell personal information or currently share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Email info@devicedriverguide.com or review the Do Not Sell or Share page to make a request, subject to verification and legal exceptions.

13. Global Privacy Control

Device Driver Guide has not implemented automatic Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal handling. It does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can use browser storage controls, Cookie Preferences, or the manual request channels described above.

14. International Visitors and Children

Service providers may process information in countries where they or their infrastructure operate; those locations are not fixed by this policy. Where required, applicable safeguards and local rights may apply. Device Driver Guide is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly request their personal information. It does not use age-verification technology. A parent or guardian may report a concern by emailing info@devicedriverguide.com.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the site, technology, or applicable law changes. Changes are communicated by publishing the revised policy and its updated date. The revision date identifies a policy edit; it does not indicate that hardware or external links were retested.
