1. Current rule
- External citations may link to an official Microsoft, manufacturer, or PC-maker support page.
- No driver executables, archives, or installers are hosted, mirrored, or proxied here.
- The documented standard excludes mirrors, aggregators, updater utilities, advertising pages, and third-party file hosts.
- The documented standard calls for external links to identify their publisher and open separately so readers can inspect the destination.
2. How destinations are governed
The linking standard requires destinations controlled by the named publisher and a support, download, or documentation page rather than a direct executable. Publishers may move, change, or retire those documents, and no citation is guaranteed to remain available forever.
A citation does not replace model matching. Readers should verify the destination domain, exact hardware, Windows release, and publisher details before selecting a package.
3. Third-party requests
Public pages use locally served media and a system font stack. Replit Project Analytics may process aggregate use through the publishing platform, but no advertising scripts currently load. Publisher citations open as external destinations rather than embedded page resources.
4. Corrections and commercial separation
Publisher links should function as documentary references rather than endorsements. Any commercial relationship affecting a link must be disclosed. Report a moved, unsafe, or incorrect destination so it can be reviewed.
