Accessibility Statement

Last updated: · Not a hardware or link testing date

This statement describes the accessibility goal for Device Driver Guide, the features currently intended to support access, known limitations, and ways to report a barrier.

These legal-page explanations provide general information, not legal advice.

Device Driver Guide targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA as an ongoing goal. This is not a certification or a claim that every page or control currently conforms.

1. Our Commitment

Device Driver Guide aims to be usable by a wide range of visitors, including people using assistive technology or navigating with limited input options. Accessibility is ongoing work, especially on a site people may visit because a keyboard, touchpad, display, or audio device is not working as expected.

2. Conformance Standard

Device Driver Guide targets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This is an ongoing target, not a statement of full conformance, an ADA certification, or a claim that every control has passed every criterion. The site does not claim Level AAA conformance.

3. Semantic Structure

Observed site features include a skip link, semantic navigation and main-content landmarks, heading structure, lists, and labeled form controls. Legal pages use numbered headings, anchor links, and a table of contents. These structures are intended to give browsers and assistive technologies useful relationships and navigation points.

4. Keyboard Operability and Focus

Navigation, menus, directory filters, forms, the cookie notice, and other interactive controls are intended to support keyboard use. Visible focus styles are provided to help identify the active control. This describes the intended experience and does not claim that every control has been tested with every browser, keyboard configuration, or assistive technology.

5. Images, Color, and Text

Meaningful images are intended to have useful alternative text, while decorative images should be hidden from assistive technology. The design uses readable text, visible focus treatment, and cues beyond color for important states. These are design intentions, not a claim that a particular contrast ratio or zoom level has been comprehensively audited across every page.

6. Responsive Layout, Tables, and Motion

Content is intended to reflow across phones, tablets, and desktops, and motion should respect reduced-motion preferences where implemented. Dense comparison tables may require horizontal scrolling or be difficult to interpret with some assistive technologies. Some illustrations may offer less detail in text than a visitor needs.

7. Plain-Language Writing

The editorial approach favors short steps, explained technical terms, limited jargon, and alternate input instructions where a broken device could prevent normal navigation. Plain language can support people with cognitive, reading, temporary, or situational disabilities, but it does not replace accessible structure or individual accommodations.

8. Known Limitations

Information-dense pages and tables may need clearer structure or an alternate presentation. Illustrations or technical diagrams may not communicate every detail equally well to every visitor. Results can vary among browsers, devices, screen readers, voice tools, magnifiers, and other assistive technologies, so a feature that works in one combination may present a barrier in another.

9. Assessment Approach

Accessibility considerations are included in design and development review, but this statement does not claim a completed formal self-assessment, screen-reader audit, independent certification, or comprehensive test of every page. Reports from visitors remain important for identifying real-world barriers that routine review may miss.

10. Reporting a Barrier

Email info@devicedriverguide.com with the page URL, a short description of the barrier, what you were trying to do, and your device or browser. Assistive-technology details are optional. Do not include passwords, identity documents, health information, or unrelated sensitive data. Reports help prioritize review, but this statement does not promise an acknowledgement or correction deadline.

11. Updates

External websites and publisher resources have their own accessibility practices and are outside Device Driver Guide’s control. You do not have to contact us before seeking help from a regulator, court, or other authority. We may update this statement by publishing a revised version and date; that date does not mean every page was reassessed.
